What are Porcelain Veneers?
A veneer is a small dental appliance made from porcelain that enhances the cosmetic appearance of your teeth. They are made to fit over your teeth and to fit with your bite pattern so that they appear completely natural. They are used for a great wide range of cosmetic enhancements. These are a permanent solution that is highly resistant to staining and will have a long lifespan if properly cared for.
How Do Porcelain Veneers Look?
Porcelain veneers are translucent. Just like your natural teeth, when light hits it, it penetrates the enamel, reflecting off the opaque dentin that is just underneath.Dr. Rogers' attention to detail enables us to created the smile you've always dreamed of.
The Advantages of Porcelain Veneers:
The Porcelain Veneer Process
Getting veneers is a relatively simple process. For starters, we will decide which shade best matches either your natural teeth or which shade you would prefer if you want to go bigger. Then, we will prepare your teeth by removing a small layer of the enamel over the surface. This will leave some space for the veneer to sit in. An impression will be taken of your newly prepared teeth to make a perfect fit.
While you will walk out of that first appointment with some temporary veneers, your permanent ones will be done shortly, and you can return to get them in no time. At that point, once they have been made to your liking, we will run the last check to make sure they fit your teeth correctly and make any necessary adjustments. Then we can bond them in place with dental material, and you will be all set to go!
